Tabi Socks for Supermama | 足袋ソックス×スーパーママ

CHALLENGE |チャレンジ

“Supermama is a gallery shop based in Singapore. More than a select shop, Supermama works closely with many design/art studios in Singapore and traditional craft facilities in Japan to produce meaningful “omiyage/ お土産 ” (contemporary giftware) that represents the contemporary Singapore culture. For this collection, Supermama collaborated with 2 Singapore designers to produce Tabi Socks, a traditional split toe socks which is popular in Japan”

The patterns for the Tabi Socks was vivid and intricate. We took on the role to look for a socks maker who can deliver such fine quality of weaving. The results was as pleasant as the way we work together.

「スーパーママ（Supermama）はシンガポールを拠点とするギャラリーショップ。セレクトショップにとどまらず、シンガポール国内の多くのデザインやアート・スタジオ、日本の伝統的な工芸とコラボして、コンテポラリーなシンガポールのカルチャーを表現する価値あるギフト商品を作り出している。このコレクションは、スーパーママがシンガポールのデザイナー二人とコラボして日本の伝統的な足袋ソックスをプロデュースしたものである。」足袋ソックスのパターンはビビッドで複雑だ。私たちの役割は大変高品質な織りが可能なソックス製造者を探すことだったが、結果はご覧の通り、このコラボ同様素晴らしいものになった。
